About the event

RMO Gear Swap & Tailgate Sale

When: Saturday, October 3 · 12 PM

Where: 6695 W 48th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033, USA

Cost: Free to attend

Every one of us has that pile of gear they don't use.

The roof rack you upgraded off of. The rooftop tent that's been "for sale eventually" in the garage for two years. The spare set of recovery boards, the fridge you replaced, the light bar that never quite fit right. Somebody in this crew wants that stuff — and odds are you've got your eye on something they're finally ready to let go of.

So let's make a day of it!

What it is:

An RMO members' gear swap, tailgate style. Back your rig in, drop the tailgate, and lay out what you're clearing out. Buy, sell, trade, or just talk shop. This isn't a vendor show or a flea market — it's all of us trying to moving good gear to people who'll actually use it. Any deals happen directly between members (cash or Venmo etc)

How it works

  • Bring what you're clearing out. Recovery gear, camp kitchen, tents and awnings, tires, tools, mounts, that box of random straps and hardware.

  • The Free Pile. Small stuff nobody wants to haggle over — leave it, take it, no money changes hands. It always ends up being the best part of the day.

  • Price it however you want. You set it, you keep it. We're just providing the parking lot and the excuse.

  • Food's/snacks on us. (TBD) to keep the tradition going.

Before you come

List what you're bringing in the thread below so folks know what to look for — and so anyone who can't make it in person can call dibs and sort out shipping. Even if your rig's staying home that day, you can still clear the closet.

Bring a chair, bring your stories, and bring the gear that's been taking up space. Let's find it a new home.

Baja's a big trip, and most people think about it for months before they go. Grab the free guide — what it's really like, what rig you actually need, when to go, and the questions everyone asks before their first trip.
