Hi, Patrick here. I love wheel'n and camping and have increased my outings over the last few years. I usually go solo or get a distant friend or sibling to go with me so I am excited to find RMO. I typically start the season by going to Canyonlands since Colorado is still snowed in. However, the high country is my first love with a campsite where no one else is around for another mile.
I have an amazing wife, Karla, who doesn't care for the backcountry like I do. And while she doesn't like it when I am gone, she is understanding. I took early retirement in 2023 from NBCUniversal where I did Finance and Operations. That is now allowing me to do the great outdoors even more,
When my brother brings out his family, they call me Sherpa Pat. I guide them on amazing trails and they are astonished at what I can pack into a 2 door Jeep.
A driving force is my love of photography. While it is only a hobby it motivates me to get out more often. I am looking forward to seeing what adventure this overland season brings.
Catecombs with natural caves is one of my favorite spots near Moab.
